I thought I’d drop you a line to say that we had such good support from First National Peak Central in renting out apartment 11, 2 Downey Drive a couple of weeks ago.
The current tenants who’ve been at the place for two years were moving due to family circumstances. Peak and I agreed that we’d rent the apartment at $400pw (or $390pw for tenancy greater than 6 months). The current rent is $430pw. At the time the property was advertised on realestate.com.au, there was another apartment of the same configuration listed at $430pw. At the height of the boom the rent on apartment 9 would have been much higher. There were three parties interested in viewing the place on a Friday evening. On Monday, two parties submitted applications. After Peak provided us the biodata on the two applicants, we went with a couple who agreed to rent for a year. They used their discretion in terms of the rent and went with $400pw. So in less than a week we had new tenants who will rent from November 2015 for a year at $400.
Apartment 9 remains listed for rent and has been on the market for quite some time now. http://www.realestate.com.au/rent/in-downey+dr%2c+como%2c+wa+6152%3b/list-1?includeSurrounding=false
I understand that one of the attractions of the apartment was its spotless condition in part due to your stringent checks and inspections. The tenants were also very house proud even though they didn’t own the unit.
Edwin and I think that Peak did a fantastic job to secure a tenant so quickly given the soft market conditions and choice in the marketplace. They are very quick to respond to my emails, efficient, professional, and has a strong customer service orientation. We’ve always had good experiences in dealing with your staff over the past few years.
Peak is fortunate to have such good staff.
